DIY Dog Treats: Simple Frozen Bites Made with Love

There’s something special about making treats from your own kitchen — especially when you’ve got three sets of eyes watching every move, hoping a blueberry “accidentally” drops their way. These frozen treats are simple, healthy, and perfect for Labs who love a snack (which means… all Labs).

With just a few ingredients and a silicone ice cube tray, you can whip up a batch in minutes — and trust me, your pups will be waiting in front of the freezer like it’s the window to another universe.

🍌 Ingredients

Plain Greek yogurt (no sugar, no flavoring — just simple and clean) 1 ripe banana, mashed A small handful of fresh or frozen blueberries Optional: A spoonful of xylitol-free peanut butter for a swirl of extra flavor

🍯 Optional Peanut Butter Swirl

If you want to make the treats extra drool-worthy, add a small ribbon of peanut butter on top of each filled mold and swirl it in with a toothpick or fork. Simple and cute — perfect for photos.

🥣 How to Make Them

In a bowl, mash the banana until smooth. Add a few spoonfuls of Greek yogurt and mix until creamy. Stir in blueberries — whole or slightly mashed depending on your pup’s preference. Spoon the mixture into silicone ice cube molds or dog treat trays. If using peanut butter, add a tiny swirl on top and lightly mix it in. Place the tray in the freezer for a few hours until solid. Release from molds and prepare for tail wags, drool, and intense puppy stares.

🐾 Serving Tip

Give straight from the freezer for a cool treat — perfect after playtime, sprinkler days, or just because “being cute” is reason enough for a snack in this house.

Made with love and a little chaos — taste-testing approved by the treat squad.
